Hand Wound / Scatter Wound to Vintage Specs.

Wound with Heavy Formvar from November 1958 REA Magnet Wire.

Cloned Vintage correct 0.187″ Alnico 5 magnets, hand bevelled .

Bobbins are punched not laser cut, have rounded edges and are dipped in nitrocellulose lacquer, just like they did back in the day.

Wax potted in black bee and paraffin wax to reduce micro-phonic feedback.

Cloth Covered Hook Up Wire.

This pickup set has been made from NOS material identical to that used by Fender Pre CBS, with the same specifications. The manufacturing process has been exactly as it was done in that era.

The result is a historically correct set of pickups, the tone is the same as the old Pre CBS, but at a much lower cost.

These pickups sound faithful and powerful like Stratocasters from the late 50s and early 60s (pre CBS era). The enamel used in this magnetic wire formula offers a very harmonic high range and the construction is timbral, clear and with all the notes separated, with medium body, bass and treble, not strident but with definition very wide and allows to obtain great woody tones, clear, sharp and incredible for all the passionate and nostalgic of the classic sound of the first Stevie Ray Vaughan albums.
